Best rugged flashlight, 2010-01-24
By Chesterco
I had a flashlight like this once before. This is my second one like this because someone else decided that they also liked this flashlight and decided to borrow it forever when I wasn't looking. I used it at construction sites off and on. I especially used it at home.
I have dropped it many times expecting the xenon bulb to break, but still working fine.
I use the led light the most because it is brighter than the xenon bulb, but I like the fact that you can adjust the xenon bulb
from flood to spot. I can use the spot light along with the laser when pointing out things on a ceiling in a poorly lit site.
This is a very well built flashlight and have will continue to purchase streamlight products in the future.

DISAPPOINTMENT FOR A PREMIUM LIGHT, 2008-01-18
By Beowulf7
I was looking forward to this light very much, and when I got it I was very disappointed. Ok, the laser is cool, and its the best part of the light. THe led setting is ok, but the Xenon bulb, was terrible and the light beam was very weak. The Xenon is supposed to be the brightest setting for the light , and it was basically useless. The switch is a very small and is a very stiff push button. Its hard to find it if you are in the dark and in a hurry, not good for a flashlight...Plus you have to push it three times consecutively, to go through the sequence of laser only, led only, and Xenon plus laser . Another design issue I dont understand is why they used 3 AAA batteries instead of 3 AA's. The flashlight is much thicker than most AA's but it takes AAA's. THe thickness makes it quite awkward to carry and to hold.
I had thought that Streamlights were made in USA. I was wrong about that for this model,.its made in China. I didnt like it nearly as well as the Inova I bought. Read my review of that.
