Product Description
In its annual Swimsuit Issue 10 years ago, "Sports Illustrated" first presented spectacular photographs of gorgeous models in swimsuits that consisted of nothing more than paint artistically and painstakingly applied to their bodies. These eye-popping optical illusions, created by make-up artist Joanne Gare and captured by the magazine's world-class photographers, have become a favourite feature of this wildly popular magazine. Now the editors bring together not just a complete collection of astonishing painted-swimsuit photographs, but also a series of vastly entertaining essays, stories, and column, some commissioned especially for this book - that trace the history of body painting and take readers behind the scenes as the Swimsuit shoots that are the craft's most modern and provocative application.

Paint., 2009-07-03

Now this is what I call art--hot chicks with pained on swimsuits. I have always been intrigued by this artform and when this one came out, I had to snatch it up. It's got some of the most stunning visual photography in the world. Buy it, read it. Also good The New Erotic Photography (Tachen 25th Anniversary) (French and German Edition).

A book full of sexy arts, 2009-04-01
By Ayana
A very good deal! This is a collection of many great body paint pictures, in great size and great quality. Pictures are very up to date. I bought it as a birthday present for my boyfriend, since he was such a SP swimsuit fan. He loved it! He even compared the pictures in the book with every swimsuit issue, and found out that even pictures in 2007 were already collected.

Outstanding, 2009-02-02

The problem with most "Celebrity Nude" books is that the partial nudity requires convoluted poses (hands or arms across breasts) to hide the famous naughty parts. The models come off looking awkward and ashamed. This book conceals just enough to be tasteful but the paint allows natural poses that accentuate rather than detract from her natural assets. You can still enjoy the contours of her figure and the texture of her nipples without the usual hide-and-seek.

If you buy this one, I don't recommend "Exposure" which sufferes from the above faults. Try "Knockouts" which gives you the same women in a better presentation.

Terrific collection of SI photographs highlighted by pains taking application of paint. Very artful!
